CPC Corporation, Taiwan to maintain fuel prices next week

CPC Corporation, Taiwan has announced that gasoline and diesel prices will remain unchanged for the upcoming week, effective from midnight on August 31 through September 6.

Retail prices are set at 30.5 TWD for 92 unleaded gasoline, 32.0 TWD for 95 unleaded gasoline, 34.0 TWD for 98 unleaded gasoline, and 29.3 TWD for super diesel per liter.

Due to high volatility in international oil prices and supply uncertainties in the Middle East, the company and the government are implementing stabilization measures. This includes government excise tax reductions and CPC absorbing costs to maintain low prices relative to neighboring Asian markets. Between February 28 and August 30, these stabilization measures have resulted in a total absorption of approximately 18.03 billion TWD.
