CPCB announces recruitment for 51 positions for River Ganga project

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has announced the recruitment of 51 contractual positions under the ‘Strengthening of Environmental Regulators (SER)-Phase-III Project’ focused on the River Ganga. The initiative is funded by the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) as part of the Namami Gange Programme.

Available roles include Scientist-D, Scientist-C, Scientist-B, Scientific Assistant, Assistant Manager (Finance), Administrative Assistant, Taxonomist, Data Entry Operator, and Field Assistant. The positions are based at the CPCB Head Office in Delhi, as well as regional offices in Lucknow, Kolkata, and Chandigarh. Applications must be submitted online through the official CPCB portal between August 24, 2026, and September 7, 2026.
