CPFSA safeguards child seen in viral abuse video

The Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA) has located and safeguarded a female child who was seen being physically and verbally abused by an adult woman in a video that circulated on social media.

The child and her younger sibling are now under the care and protection of the agency. The CPFSA stated it will continue to work closely with the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) as investigations proceed.

The agency expressed appreciation to members of the public whose information helped locate the children, noting that citizen involvement plays a vital role in child welfare. The CPFSA remains committed to the safety and wellbeing of both children.
