Céphas Germain Ewangui receives Pan-African governance award

The Pan-African Consortium for Peace honored Céphas Germain Ewangui with the Pan-African Prize of Excellence for Good Governance and Democracy during a ceremony in Brazzaville on August 26. Ewangui serves as the permanent secretary of the Advisory Council of Civil Society and Non-Governmental Organizations.

The award recognizes his long-standing commitment to democracy, peace, and social cohesion across Africa. Ewangui has a significant history in electoral processes, dating back to 2002 when he represented civil society organizations within the National Electoral Commission. His career includes participating in 316 international observation missions across 41 African countries.

The distinction is highly selective, with only approximately ten laureates chosen annually from across the continent. The ceremony was attended by various public officials and civil society representatives from countries including Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Benin, Togo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Cameroon.
