CPHCulture Announces 2025/26 Danish and International Film Awards

CPHCulture revealed the winners of its 2025/26 season awards for both Danish and foreign‑language cinema. In the Danish competition, Carsten Brandt received the honorary prize for lifetime achievement, while Marijana Jankovic’s film *Hjem* was named Feature Film of the Year. *En plads i manegen* won Documentary Film, and Anders Refn earned Director of the Year for *De forbandede år 3*.

The international awards honoured Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi with the Honorary Foreign‑Language Film prize for *It Was Just an Accident*. Joachim Trier’s *Affektionsværdier* was named Foreign‑Language Feature Film, and Walter Salles received Director of the Year for *I’m Still Here*. Additional categories recognised breakthrough directors, lead actors and supporting performers across the foreign‑language slate.
