CPI(M) leaders in Tripura criticize BJP over alleged vandalism and declining support

CPI(M) leaders in Tripura have launched criticisms against the BJP-led government, citing both local incidents of political violence and broader national trends. Jitendra Chaudhury, the CPI(M) State Secretary and Leader of the Opposition, accused BJP workers of vandalizing a party office in Agartala. Chaudhury stated that the party is maintaining a record of such incidents, alleging that the ruling party is using intimidation to undermine democratic values.

In a separate statement, CPI(M) General Secretary M. A. Baby claimed that the BJP-led NDA government is losing public support. Baby pointed to recent student movements regarding examination issues and the BJP's electoral setback in the Bankipur Assembly by-election in Bihar as evidence of declining popularity. He suggested that movements led by workers, farmers, and students are creating increased political space for Left parties.
