CPLP approves 14 new consultative observers
The Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) Council of Ministers has approved the granting of consultative observer status to 14 new entities. The decision was finalized during the XXXI Ordinary Meeting held on August 19 in Timor-Leste.
The newly recognized organizations represent various sectors, including education, environment, health, sports, and foreign trade. These entities originate from several CPLP member states, specifically Angola, Brazil, Mozambique, Portugal, and Timor-Leste.
Among the recipients are the Portuguese Sports Confederation (CDP) and the Brazilian Foundation for Foreign Trade and International Relations (FUNCEX). The status allows these civil society and professional organizations to establish institutional relationships with the CPLP, enabling them to participate in initiatives and share expertise within the Lusophone community.
