CPTM and TrensRJ amend railway technical services contract

CPTM and PY13 Participações S.A. (TrensRJ) have formalized a second contract amendment regarding specialized technical support services for railway systems in Rio de Janeiro. This amendment focuses on the pre-operational phase, specifically involving inventories and unidentified environmental liabilities related to the SuperVia network.

The new adjustment reduces the estimated contract value by approximately R$ 1.14 million, bringing the total down to R$ 10.14 million. This reduction stems from the removal of “on-demand services” that were included in the original commercial proposal but were neither requested nor executed during the contract term.

This change follows a previous amendment in August that had increased the base remuneration by R$ 1.13 million to expand the scope of inventory items. By removing the unused on-demand reserve, the total contract value has returned to a level nearly identical to the original estimate of R$ 10.15 million.
