Cracovia president Murat Colak departs amid financial scrutiny

Murat Colak has stepped down from his position as president of the Polish football club Cracovia after only three and a half months in office. Colak cited a lack of shared vision with club owner Robert Platek as the reason for his departure. Before leaving, Colak claimed his administration secured millions of zlotys in new sponsorship deals and reduced operating costs by over 24 percent.

However, journalist Tomasz Wlodarczyk has raised questions regarding the club's financial stability, alleging that Cracovia faces significant financial difficulties and relies on external loans to maintain monthly operations. Wlodarczyk specifically noted that the club's main shirt sponsorship deal with ROB-HUT is reportedly one of the weakest in the Ekstraklasa, estimated at approximately 700,000 zlotys per year.

On the pitch, Cracovia recently faced Motor Lublin in an Ekstraklasa match. Ajdin Hasic scored in the 13th minute to give Cracovia an early lead, but the team ultimately suffered a defeat, leaving them with 12 points in the league standings.
