Cracovia President Murat Colak faces potential dismissal
Murat Colak, the president of the Polish football club Cracovia, has confirmed reports regarding his potential dismissal by the club's supervisory board and majority owner, Robert Platka. A decision on his position is expected to be made on October 29.
In a statement released on the social media platform X, Colak acknowledged having a different vision for the club than the majority owner. He addressed recent media speculation, stating that while some reports are true, others are inaccurate. Colak criticized the lack of presence from the main shareholder and expressed a desire for sporting decisions to be made by individuals familiar with the realities of Polish football.
Internal disagreements reportedly involve the club's management approach and spending. Colak also noted his support for dismissing head coach Bartosz Grzelak, a stance that was not approved by the ownership. The potential leadership change comes just before Cracovia's derby match against Wisla Krakow.
