Cracovia signs goalkeeper Aleksander Bobek
Cracovia has officially signed 22-year-old goalkeeper Aleksander Bobek to a three-year contract, which includes an option to extend for an additional two seasons. Because Bobek was a free agent following the expiration of his contract with ŁKS Łódź, the club was able to finalize the transfer after the standard summer transfer window had closed.
Bobek, a product of the ŁKS Łódź academy, made 100 official appearances for his former club, recording 19 clean sheets. He previously gained recognition as a rising talent in the Polish leagues and was reportedly linked to interest from several international clubs, including FC Copenhagen and various Serie A sides, though he remained in Poland following ŁKS's relegation.
At Cracovia, Bobek will compete for a starting position against Sebastian Madejski, who held the number one spot last season with 13 clean sheets in 30 matches.
