Craftepreneur 2026 returns to Chennai with 20 Indian craft brands

The Crafts Council of India is hosting Craftepreneur 2026 in Chennai, marking the return of the exhibition after a five-year hiatus. The event brings together 20 young Indian brands that integrate traditional craft with contemporary design across categories such as clothing, jewellery, ceramics, and homeware.

Participating brands include Vama, which utilizes traditional Bagh-printed textiles and natural colors to create sustainable, modern designs, and Pinjjai by H, which focuses on artisan training and empowerment. Other featured brands include Kalam Shastra, Neel Batik, and Studio Vam, the latter of which experiments with combinations of ajrakh, dhokra metalwork, and blue pottery. The exhibition aims to provide a platform for emerging entrepreneurs while promoting fair wages and recognition for traditional craftspeople.
