Craig Bellamy confirms he will coach Melbourne Storm in 2027

Melbourne Storm head coach Craig Bellamy announced he will remain in the role for the next season, despite being diagnosed with a neurodegenerative disorder earlier this year. The decision was revealed at a pre‑game press conference at HBF Park in Perth before the Storm's match against Manly.

Bellamy said the upcoming year may be his last as coach but expressed confidence in the team's preparation. His commitment is expected to keep star player Cameron Munster at the club, as Munster plans an early return from knee surgery and has indicated he will stay if Bellamy does. Munster's continued presence is seen as a boost for Melbourne's campaign.

The announcement also suggests Munster will not pursue a move to the PNG Chiefs, reinforcing the Storm's roster for the 2027 season.
