Craig Farrelly wins Sergio Melpignano Senior Italian Open

English golfer Craig Farrelly secured his first Staysure Legends Tour title at the 15th Sergio Melpignano Senior Italian Open. Competing at the San Domenico Golf in Puglia, Italy, Farrelly finished with a total score of 23-under par.

Farrelly maintained a lead throughout the final stages, ultimately finishing five strokes ahead of New Zealander Mark Brown and Frenchman Lionel Alexandre, who shared second place at 18-under par. The victory is particularly significant for Farrelly, as it secures him full playing rights for the remainder of the 2026 season and the entire 2027 season.

During the final round, Farrelly managed to turn a two-shot overnight lead into a five-shot victory, highlighted by a crucial eagle on the par-5 first hole to counter early pressure from Alexandre.
