Craig Hodge to conclude 50 years of PNE photography in 2026

Photographer Craig Hodge is concluding a 50-year tenure documenting the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) in East Vancouver. Hodge, who began his work at the fair in 1976, has announced that the 2026 fair will mark his final year of freelance photography for the event.

Throughout his career, Hodge has captured a wide array of historical moments, ranging from the era of black-and-white film and on-site darkrooms to the modern digital age. His portfolio includes coverage of major musical acts such as Queen, ABBA, and Frank Sinatra, as well as long-standing fair traditions like the SuperDogs show and the Miss PNE pageant.

In addition to his photography, Hodge has been active in local government, having served on the Coquitlam City Council since 2011, and is currently running for mayor.
