Craig Melvin experiences awkward interview with Parker Posey on ‘Today’

During a Monday morning interview on the ‘Today’ show, journalist Craig Melvin experienced two notable moments of awkwardness while speaking with actress Parker Posey.

The first incident occurred when Melvin attempted to transition the conversation to the horror genre by saying, “we’ve got to talk horror.” Posey misheard the word, leading her to believe he had used a derogatory term. Melvin quickly clarified his enunciation, stating, “I did not call you a whore! H-O-R-R-O-R,” and admitted he had not enunciated well.

The tension continued when Melvin asked Posey about her involvement in the upcoming film ‘Sleepover.’ Despite reports suggesting she was signed on for the project, Posey clarified that she is no longer participating in the movie. This led to further uncomfortable silence during the broadcast, with Melvin remarking, “Wow, now it’s ever more awkward than usual.”
