Craig Ramsay inducted into Slovak Ice Hockey Hall of Fame

Craig Ramsay has been inducted into the Slovak Ice Hockey Hall of Fame, marking the conclusion of an eight-year tenure as the head coach of the Slovak national team. Ramsay is credited with transforming the mindset of Slovak players by instilling confidence and promoting an offensive style of play.

Vladimír Országh, who served as an assistant under Ramsay before taking over as head coach in 2025, was named Coach of the Year for 2026. Országh highlighted Ramsay’s influence, noting that the Canadian coach taught players to believe they could defeat any opponent regardless of their ranking. Under Országh’s leadership, the team achieved a fourth-place finish at the Milan Olympics and a ninth-place finish at the World Championships in Switzerland.
