Craiova to conduct aerial pest control across 800 hectares

SC Salubritate Craiova SRL has announced a new stage of aerial pest control across nearly 800 hectares of public land in Craiova. Scheduled for August 22 and 23, 2026, between 06:00 and 12:00, the operation aims to combat harmful insects using the ULV spraying system with the product Vectobac WG.

The intervention will target several lakes, including Nicolae Romanescu Park, Tanchiștilor, Valea Fetii, Făcăi, the Botanical Garden, Valea Șarpelui, and Hanul Doctorului, as well as public parks and green spaces in various neighborhoods. While the Ministry of Health has approved the product and the operator states it is not dangerous to humans, animals, or the environment, residents are advised to avoid the areas during and immediately after the operation. Beekeepers are specifically urged to take necessary precautions to protect their hives.
