Craip Canela marks two years with health professional seminar
The Regionalized Center for Integral Care and Prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections and Co-infections (Craip) in Canela celebrated its second anniversary with a seminar focused on updating health professionals.
During the event, experts discussed the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), HIV/Aids, and tuberculosis. The seminar also included presentations on epidemiological data for the Rio Grande do Sul region. Since its transition from the Specialized Care Service (SAE) to Craip, the center has expanded its regional reach, serving as a reference point for the diagnosis and treatment of secondary tuberculosis for 17 municipalities.
Participants included health professionals, representatives from the State Health Secretariat, and local officials, including Canela’s Secretary of Health, Jean Spall. The initiative aims to strengthen integration between health services and municipalities to improve access to care across the region.
