Crans-Montana golf: Steinlechner, Wiesberger, and Girrbach deliver strong rounds
The Omega European Masters in Crans-Montana saw significant performances during the third day of competition. Austrian golfers Maximilian Steinlechner and Bernd Wiesberger both recorded impressive rounds of 63 strokes.
Steinlechner, playing without a bogey and securing seven birdies, moved from 25th place into the top ten, temporarily holding second place in the overall standings. Wiesberger also shot a 63, including an eagle on the 14th hole and six birdies, which elevated him from 56th place into the top ten.
Switzerland's Joel Girrbach entered the final round as the top-performing local player. After a strong second round of 63, Girrbach maintained his momentum with a 67 in the third round, placing him at ten under par and tied for 10th place. He remains the only Swiss professional to have made the cut in the tournament.
