Crater of Diamonds State Park visitor finds $1 million diamond
A Navy reservist has discovered a rare 6.03-carat yellow diamond at Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas. Jack Pearadin, who has been searching for diamonds in the park since 2013, captured the moment of the discovery during a live TikTok broadcast.
Experts and collectors estimate the value of the large, nail-sized stone could reach as high as $1 million, though some valuations may be lower. The find is noted as the largest diamond discovered at the park so far in 2026.
Crater of Diamonds State Park, a former open-pit mine that transitioned into a state park in 1972, is one of the few places in the United States where the public is permitted to search for and keep natural diamonds. Since its opening, visitors have unearthed more than 37,000 diamonds.
