Crayford Automobiles unveils Mojito classic Mini beach car
British coachbuilder Crayford Automobiles has introduced the Mojito, a hand-built restomod based on the classic Mini. Designed specifically as a coastal runabout, the vehicle features an open-sided design with the doors, rear glass, and lower body panels removed.
While the car retains a fixed roof, it includes a standard folding Webasto-style sunroof to enhance the open-air experience. The interior is outfitted with marine-grade upholstery and non-slip Flexiteek flooring to accommodate sand and saltwater.
Mechanically, the Mojito utilizes the original Mini engine, retuned for increased low-end torque, and is equipped with Mini Cooper-spec front disc brakes and a manual gearbox. Entry-level builds are priced at approximately £35,000 (about $46,200) in the UK. Production is expected to be limited.
