CRB defeated Sport Recife 2-1 in a crucial 28th-round match of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B at the Estádio Rei Pelé in Maceió. The victory moves CRB to 45 points, placing them in seventh position and just one point behind Atlético-GO, who currently holds the final spot in the G-6 promotion playoff zone.

Crystopher opened the scoring for CRB in the 16th minute of the first half. Diogo Hereda extended the lead with a long-range strike in the 44th minute of the second half. Sport Recife managed a late consolation goal through Patrick de Paula in the 47th minute of second-half stoppage time.
