CRB defeats Avaí 1-0 to move closer to Série B promotion zone

CRB defeated Avaí 1-0 at the Ressacada stadium in Florianópolis to conclude the 21st round of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B. The match's only goal was scored by defender Bressan in the 33rd minute of the first half.

With this victory, CRB reaches 32 points, moving into 7th place and approaching the G-6 zone for promotion playoffs. Conversely, Avaí remains in the relegation zone, sitting in 18th place with 20 points. Despite Avaí's early pressure and hitting the post through Jean Lucas, CRB's goalkeeper Vítor Caetano made several key saves to secure the win.

Both teams are scheduled to play their 22nd round matches this coming Sunday. CRB will host Novorizontino at the Rei Pelé stadium, while Avaí will travel to face Operário-PR at the Germano Krüger stadium.
