Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale expands support for farmers

Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale, through its networks Crédit Mutuel and CIC, has strengthened its emergency support measures for farmers facing difficulties caused by heatwaves, droughts, and fires.

To assist struggling agricultural businesses, the group is offering flexible repayment options, including the modulation or postponement of credit deadlines. For the most vulnerable farms, the group provides a ‘Prêt de soutien agricole’ (agricultural support loan) with interest rates below market levels for a 60-month term, as well as debt restructuring solutions such as the RDRTEA (loan for debt rearrangement and strengthening agricultural cash flow).

Beyond immediate emergency relief, the group is also promoting long-term climate adaptation. This includes the ‘transition agri’ loan, which supports agroecological transition projects for up to 15 years with a 0.3% rate bonus, and the ‘Crédit Mutuel Appro’ loan, designed to help farmers secure the necessary cash flow for upcoming agricultural campaigns.
