Crédito Agrícola announced the opening of applications for the 13th edition of its Entrepreneurship and Innovation Award on 25 May 2026. The competition seeks projects that advance sustainable development in Portugal's agricultural, agri‑food and forest sectors.

Three new prize categories are offered: Research & Innovation, Local Development, and Climate Impact & Adaptation. An additional Honorable Mention recognises early‑stage initiatives by students and emerging teams. The overall prize pool totals €35,000, with €10,000 awarded to each category winner and €5,000 to the Honorable Mention.

Applicants must submit their proposals by 9 August 2026. Full details and the regulation are available on the award’s website (www.premioinovacao.pt). The initiative aims to foster entrepreneurship, competitiveness and climate‑resilient growth across Portugal’s rural territories.
