Córdoba and Jalisco roll out new programs to enhance student learning

In Córdoba, Argentina, the Ministry of Education launched the "Inmersión al futuro" initiative, allowing more than 300 secondary students (sixth and seventh‑year) to enroll in university‑level courses at higher‑education institutes. The program, regulated by Resolution 53/2026, awards official credits valid for two years and aims to integrate secondary and higher education, reduce bureaucratic barriers and align training with regional labor needs. Minister Horacio Ferreyra said the effort marks “the first steps toward a single, integrated education system,” while director Ariel Zecchini highlighted the removal of bureaucracy.

Separately, the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional in Ciudad Guzmán, Jalisco, Mexico, hosted the 13th Feria de Habilidades del Pensamiento. Around 20 workshops were offered to more than 1,500 pre‑school, primary and secondary students from municipalities such as Zapotlán el Grande, Tamazula de Gordiano and Gómez Farías. The fair, begun in 2011, focuses on developing reflective and cognitive skills beyond digital entertainment, emphasizing pedagogical intent in each activity.
