Córdoba artists use rap and urban poetry for community connection
In Córdoba, local artists Romi and Viole are utilizing rap and urban poetry as tools for social expression and community connection. Originating from neighborhoods such as Argüello, Jardín, and San Carlos, the artists use public plazas as meeting points to foster empathy and mutual care through improvisation and spoken word.
Beyond artistic performance, the duo emphasizes the importance of formal education and technical training. They are currently studying as live sound assistants through the CBA Capacita program at Teatro Real, highlighting a transition from street culture to professional technical skills and community engagement.
