Córdoba authorities receive teenage victim's letter in Agostina Vega femicide case

Grandmother Elizabeth Heredia discovered a handwritten letter by the murdered teenager Agostina Vega in a drawer of the victim's underwear. She handed the document to prosecutor Raúl Garzón during the Ni Una Menos march in Córdoba. The letter, written days before her death, recounts "everything she had been living" and may help clarify the circumstances of the femicide.

The finding came as the family faced a dispute over the funeral: the maternal grandparents wanted to delay the service to join the protest, while the father, Gabriel Vega, insisted on a private ceremony. Police secured the area, closed streets and escorted the body to a funeral home. The letter has now been entered into the criminal investigation as a potential key piece of evidence.
