Córdoba bans sale of BIO NATIVA oil products

The government of Córdoba, Argentina, has prohibited the sale and distribution of four oil products from the brand BIO NATIVA throughout the province. The measure, issued via Resolution Dgcia N.º 051/26, follows inspections conducted under the Provincial Food Surveillance Program.

The ban affects the following products: Pure Neutral Coconut Oil (Lot 121.223), Chia Oil (Lot AAA015), Rosemary Oil (Lot AAA030), and Oregano Oil (Lot AAA020). Authorities determined that these products lack valid sanitary registrations (RNE and RNPA), which are required to identify manufacturing establishments and authorize food commercialization.

Due to the absence of these records, the province cannot guarantee the traceability, origin, or production conditions of the oils. The products are considered non-compliant with the Argentine Food Code and National Law No. 18.284. Health officials advise consumers to avoid purchasing or consuming these products, particularly those in dropper formats, and have instructed retailers to remove them from shelves.
