Córdoba CF targets defenders Dani Barcia and Matteo Waem

Córdoba CF is actively looking to strengthen its defense during the final stages of the transfer window. The club has identified two primary targets to bolster its backline.

One option is Dani Barcia, a 23-year-old left-footed defender currently with Deportivo de La Coruña. Barcia has significant experience in the Liga Hypermotion, having played 41 matches in the division. Although he is under contract with Deportivo until 2028, the club is looking to sign a new central defender following their promotion.

Additionally, Córdoba CF is monitoring Belgian central defender Matteo Waem, who currently plays for ADO Den Haag in the Netherlands. Waem, 26, is also being tracked by Real Sporting de Gijón, as well as clubs in France and Poland. Waem is a left-footed defender with extensive experience in Dutch football, having surpassed 100 appearances for his current club.
