Córdoba commemorates 79th anniversary of Manolete's death
Followers and institutional representatives gathered at the Cemetery of Nuestra Señora de la Salud in Córdoba to commemorate the 79th anniversary of the death of the legendary bullfighter Manuel Laureano Rodríguez, known as Manolete.
Manolete, born in the Santa Marina neighborhood, is regarded as a master of bullfighting. The annual tribute has been maintained for 36 years, with photojournalist Ladislao Rodríguez noting the emotional continuity of the event.
Local landmarks in Córdoba continue to honor his legacy, including a bust in the Plaza de la Lagunilla, a sculptural ensemble in the Plaza del Conde de Priego, and the historic building that now houses 'La Casa de Manolete Bistró'.
