Argentina implements security measures for Spring Day festivities

Various regions in Argentina are implementing security and logistical measures for Spring Day and Student Day celebrations.

Mendoza has authorized 24 to 25 events across the province, including the Gran Mendoza, East, Uco Valley, and South zones. To manage these festivities, the Ministry of Security and Justice is deploying approximately 2,000 officers per shift to monitor tourist areas, green spaces, and water bodies like Potrerillos and El Carrizal. Authorities are focusing on traffic controls, sobriety checks, and the seizure of large quantities of alcohol.

In Bahía Blanca, the municipality has launched a prevention operation running through Monday, September 21. This includes traffic controls and increased presence in gastronomic areas and public spaces to ensure safety during the weekend.

Villa Carlos Paz is hosting its traditional Spring Festival at the Parque de Asistencia, featuring a musical lineup including Los Tipitos and Kapanga. The event is expected to draw thousands of visitors.

In San Salvador de Jujuy, the municipality is implementing traffic restrictions and street closures near Ciudad Cultural for the 75th National Student Festival to accommodate the provincial representative election.
