Córdoba environmental education reaches 22,000 students
During the first half of 2026, the Government of Córdoba implemented an extensive environmental education program targeting students and teachers across various school levels. Led by the Secretariat General of Environment, Circular Economy and Biocity, the initiative reached over 22,000 students through workshops and lectures covering topics such as biodiversity, protected natural areas, and circular economy.
Practical activities included the creation of school gardens, the distribution of composters, reforestation efforts, and the recovery of school courtyards. To support these projects, the province distributed more than 6,500 plants, along with seeds, soil, and aromatic plants, through programs like Tu Huerta and Bosques Educativos.
The program also featured specialized sessions: the Re-Conversar workshops, which involved over 1,500 students in dialogue regarding environmental challenges, and the Re-Accionar sessions, designed to turn theoretical learning into community intervention actions.
