Córdoba femicide case of Agostina Vega sees secrecy lifted, family marches

A court ordered the lifting of the secrecy of the investigation into the femicide of 17‑year‑old Agostina Vega in Córdoba, allowing the family and the public to access the case file. The decision coincided with a new march by relatives, friends and social groups demanding progress and accountability.

Claudio Barrelier remains the sole suspect charged with the homicide, while Soledad Andreani and Osvaldo Fassetta are accused of aggravated concealment. The family expects further arrests and urges the investigation to explore additional responsibilities. The victim’s mother remains hospitalized but stable, and the case continues to draw strong local attention.

The prosecutor’s office, led by Raúl Garzón, confirmed ongoing collection of evidence and statements to determine all criminal liabilities linked to the crime.
