Córdoba fitness industry shifts toward professionalization and cooperation

The fitness industry in Córdoba is undergoing a professional transformation, as highlighted by the upcoming ExpoMov event scheduled for September 5 and 6 at the Complejo Ferial Córdoba. The event will bring together gyms, Pilates studios, professionals, and brands related to physical activity.

Jorge Braschi, president of the Cámara de Gimnasios de Córdoba, noted that the sector is shifting from direct competition between establishments toward a model of cooperation. He stated that the primary competition is no longer neighboring gyms, but rather sedentary lifestyles and digital distractions like Netflix and mobile phones.

This paradigm shift has also changed business management within the industry. Gym owners are increasingly transitioning from sports instructors to business managers who utilize data analysis, customer retention strategies, and applied technology to address structural challenges such as regulatory frameworks and operating costs.
