Córdoba former judicial advisor to face trial for hidden camera allegations

The Accusation Chamber of Córdoba has confirmed that Ginés Martín Jodar, a former legal advisor for the Judiciary, will face trial. Jodar is accused of installing hidden cameras in women's bathrooms at the courts in Río Segundo and Jesús María to record and live-stream images of women and minors.

The investigation alleges that between 2021 and 2023, Jodar used two to three devices concealed in ceilings, under sinks, and near toilets. The illicit activity was discovered in mid-2023 after a cleaning worker noticed Jodar loitering near the bathrooms and caught him redirecting a camera using his mobile phone.

Jodar faces charges including simple sexual abuse. The court rejected defense arguments against the trial, moving the case toward an oral and public hearing.
