Córdoba government calls UEPC to reopen teacher salary talks
The Government of Córdoba has scheduled a meeting with the Union of Educators of the Province of Córdoba (UEPC) for Tuesday, October 20. The meeting aims to reopen salary negotiations and review the current collective bargaining agreement signed in April.
The UEPC requested the reopening of talks to seek income recomposition due to the rising cost of living, as well as improvements in job stability and teacher competitive examinations. The provincial government, through Secretary General David Consalvi, noted that while the existing agreement remains in effect and is being fulfilled, the meeting will activate the review clause established in the original contract.
UEPC Secretary General Roberto Cristalli had requested urgent negotiations ahead of a departmental delegate assembly scheduled for October 21.
