Córdoba government launches 42 billion peso road maintenance plan
The Government of Córdoba has launched a tender for a comprehensive maintenance plan for the provincial road network, with an official budget of 42 billion pesos. The strategic program aims to improve road conditions and ensure traffic safety across the entire territory.
The project covers primary, secondary, and tertiary roads, including minor works and repairs to culverts, shoulders, and road surfaces that do not require asphalt intervention. To streamline execution and response times, the province has been divided into six operational zones. This organizational structure is designed to facilitate rapid responses to weather-related contingencies, such as flooding, waterlogging, and structural collapses in both rural and urban areas.
By providing all necessary materials, the initiative seeks to enhance connectivity between productive centers, markets, and tourist destinations. Officials noted that the infrastructure improvements are intended to reduce logistics costs and travel times, thereby contributing to regional economic development.
