Córdoba historical heritage at risk due to lack of conservation projects
The National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) has warned that the historical heritage in Córdoba, Veracruz, is at risk due to a lack of concrete projects and work plans. Without formal proposals and authorizations, municipalities struggle to access the necessary resources to rescue and maintain historic buildings.
Specific sites, such as the upper floor of the Industria del Azúcar, are currently awaiting rehabilitation projects to secure funding for the coming year. The deterioration of these structures, which include former haciendas, museums, and government buildings, continues as long as intervention plans remain unfinalized.
