Córdoba hosts extended “Noche Blanca del Flamenco” festival
Córdoba’s historic centre held its annual “Noche Blanca del Flamenco” on a hot Saturday night, marking the event’s 17th edition in 2026. The program, dedicated to late master Fosforito, featured more than seven hours of performances across multiple venues, from the plaza of Las Tendillas to the Patio de los Naranjos. Thousands of spectators roamed the pedestrian‑only streets, enjoying shows by artists such as Manuel Lombo, who opened the night, and María Toledo, who sang selections from her latest album. The festival also presented dance acts, including María del Mar Moreno’s “Jerez Puro, Esencia,” and a competition showcase with Sara Dénez and guitarist Ángel Flores. Organisers aimed to promote flamenco culture to both tourists and locals, closing traffic around the historic core from 20:00 to ensure safe movement of audiences.
