Córdoba hosts Flora 2026 and Sacred Art Fair
The city of Córdoba is hosting two significant cultural events this weekend. The ninth edition of the Flora 2026 festival opened on October 16, featuring five artistic installations across historical heritage sites. The festival explores the concept of the ephemeral, using flowers, plants, and technology to reflect on natural cycles and the passage of time. One notable installation, titled ‘Interludio’ by Alejandro Fernández Banegas, is located at the Archaeological Museum of Córdoba.
Simultaneously, the Feria Cofrade de España e Iberoamérica is taking place at the Centro de Exposiciones, Ferias y Convenciones (CEFC) from October 16 to 18. This second edition of the sacred art fair features 100 exhibitors and 45 activities, showcasing goldsmithing, imagery, embroidery, and religious heritage. The event highlights both established firms and young artisans, aiming to preserve traditional crafts associated with Holy Week.
