Córdoba launches education‑infrastructure pact and celebrates award‑winning student architecture project

The provincial government of Córdoba signed two strategic agreements linking the Ministry of Education with the Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism and Design (FAUD) of the National University of Córdoba (UNC) and the provincial College of Architects. The pact creates a technical network to provide rapid, modern advisory and execution services for school‑building needs across the province, combining state resources, academic expertise and professional practice.

Separately, three recent FAUD graduates were honored at the ArchDaily Student Project Awards. Their design for the Olaroz Salt Flat in Jujuy, which proposes a regenerative approach to lithium‑mining infrastructure, was selected as one of three winning projects worldwide. The award highlights the university’s architectural training and its potential to influence sustainable development.

Both developments showcase Córdoba’s emphasis on integrating architectural knowledge into public projects and underscore the broader role of the UNC’s architecture school in regional innovation.
