Córdoba launches inclusive garden program for organic waste exchange

The Municipality of Córdoba has launched the ‘Huertas Inclusivas’ program through the BioCórdoba agency. The initiative encourages residents to exchange compostable organic waste—such as fruit and vegetable peels, coffee grounds, and dried leaves—for vegetable seedlings. The program aims to reduce the volume of waste sent to final disposal while promoting sustainable production and composting practices.

Participants can bring organic materials to Av. Elpidio González 1562 in the Bella Vista neighborhood on weekdays from 09:00 to 14:00. The program also offers free weekly gardening workshops tailored for different groups, including the general community, children, and senior citizens, focusing on agroecological practices and cultivation tools.
