Córdoba launches new cultural tourism and heritage initiatives
The province of Córdoba, Argentina, is launching new initiatives to promote cultural tourism and heritage. The Agencia Córdoba Turismo is developing a specialized tourist circuit focused on the province's cemeteries. This project aims to identify, conserve, and promote the architectural, artistic, and botanical wealth found in these sites, using them as tools for historical memory and collective identity. The initiative draws inspiration from international models, such as the European Cemetery Route and specific sites in Colombia and Peru.
Simultaneously, the Agencia Córdoba Cultura has announced a diverse cultural week across the province. The agenda includes various museum inaugurations and exhibitions covering photography, contemporary art, and history. Highlights include nature photography displays at the Provincial Museum of Natural Sciences and the Palacio Dionisi Photography Museum, as well as historical and educational exhibits for children at the Provincial Historical Archive and the Marqués de Sobremonte Provincial Historical Museum. The programming also extends to Río Cuarto, featuring contemporary and patrimonial art exhibitions.
