Córdoba launches Primer Paso Program with 15,000 youth job opportunities

Governor Martín Llaryora has launched a new edition of the Primer Paso Program (PPP) in Córdoba, aimed at facilitating labor market entry for unemployed youth aged 16 to 25. The initiative provides 15,000 total opportunities, divided into two distinct modalities.

Of these, 7,500 positions are designated for labor practices, where participants undergo training for 20 hours per week over six months within private sector companies. The remaining 7,500 spots are for direct employment under formal contracts. The program combines professional training and work experience to address the common barrier of lacking initial work experience.

Priority will be given to regions covered by the Territorial Equality Program and to specific sectors with higher levels of vulnerability. Llaryora described the program as a success story within Argentina and Latin America, urging employers to provide opportunities to young people despite the current difficult economic context.
