Argentina's Córdoba and Mendoza launch agricultural education programs

In Córdoba Province, the ministries of Bioagroindustry and Education signed an agreement to create the “Escuela del Suelo” programme. The initiative will provide students, teachers and communities with tools and netbooks to learn about soil stewardship, sustainable food production and environmental care. Minister Sergio Busso said, “Soil is one of Córdoba’s strategic resources and its conservation requires knowledge, commitment and continuity.”

In the southern district of San Rafael, Mendoza, the Antonio Di Benedetto agro‑industrial school organised a public training session on trichinosis prevention. The workshop, led by a professional from the Servicio Nacional de Sanidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria (Senasa), offered guidance on safe meat consumption and was open to students, producers and local residents.

Both initiatives aim to strengthen agricultural education and promote healthier, more sustainable rural practices in Argentina.
