Córdoba Legislature recognizes IPEM 298 folklore project

The Córdoba Legislature has declared the ‘Proyecto Folklórico Butoriano’ of IPEM 298 ‘Maestro Rodolfo V. Butori’ to be of legislative, cultural, and educational interest. Located in Alta Gracia, the project encourages student participation through music and dance to strengthen cultural identity and community ties.

Initiated by legislator Facundo Torres Lima, the recognition highlights activities conducted throughout 2026, such as the ‘Peña Patria’ on May 25 and the ‘Pericón Nacional Gigante’ held on July 9 at Plaza Solares. The project operates through the ‘Herencia y Pasión Butoriana’ established ballet and a school musical ensemble, both of which were developed based on student interest.
