Córdoba municipalities enhance security and equality policies

Municipalities in the province of Córdoba are strengthening local security and social policies. In Pedro Abad, the Local Security Board met with the Government Sub-delegate, Ana López Losilla, to coordinate security measures for the upcoming local fair. Officials noted that crime rates in the municipality remain below the provincial average, highlighting effective cooperation between the Guardia Civil and Local Police. Additionally, Pedro Abad has received a 5,500 euro subsidy from the Provincial Council of Córdoba to support its equality plan and prevent gender-based discrimination.

In La Carlota, security coordination is also being prioritized ahead of the local fair. The municipality reported favorable crime indicators and announced the addition of five new Local Police officers to bolster its workforce. Furthermore, progress continues on the construction of a new Guardia Civil barracks, which is expected to be completed between late 2026 and early 2027.
