Córdoba pilot program places former street cleaners into formal jobs

Twelve former street window‑cleaners in Córdoba completed the "Oportunidades que construyen futuro" training and were hired by the service company Kazaró. The pilot program was jointly organized by the National Technological University (UTN) – Faculty Regional Córdoba, the Municipality of Córdoba, the Fundación de la Universidad Obrera and Kazaró.

Participants received technical instruction, employability skills and supervised practice. Attendance averaged 92 % and only one person dropped out. The municipality also provided individual social support, including health assistance and help obtaining or renewing national identity documents. After certification, the graduates began formal work in tasks such as park cleaning and maintenance, marking a successful model of public‑private‑academic collaboration for labor reinsertion.
